Jason Autry has been around the endeavor of helping people and walking with them in the margins for his entire life. He grew up in the home of a pastor and was exposed to the unique stories and challenges of full-time Christian service.
Jason entered ministry while still in college as he began speaking at Fellowship of Christian Athletes events. Since then, he has communicated across the nation at churches, camps, conferences, retreats and other religious gatherings. He has also traveled to 7 countries in Central and South America on missionary and humanitarian trips.
At age 21, he became a Campus Pastor at Liberty University, the world’s largest Christian university and the seventh largest university in North America. He has since served another stint at Liberty as the Associate Director of Student Care and remains an Adjunct Professor of Religion and Philosophy where he interacts with and instructs over 200 students globally each year.
Jason has served 4 local churches and is currently the Lead Pastor at Springdale Community Church in the northeast suburb of Louisville, KY. Before coming to SCC, he served as the College Pastor at the multi-site, 16,000-member Cross Church in Northwest Arkansas and as the Associate Pastor at West Cabarrus Church in Charlotte, NC prior to that. He was also the Executive Teaching Pastor at Willow Lake Church in his hometown of Columbia, SC.
He is a Founding Resource Leader, speaker and writer for the 6:4 Fellowship, a global network of pastors committed to the initiatives of Acts 6:4 – prayer and the ministry of teaching. 6:4 is comprised of pastors and leaders representing some of the largest and most influential ministries in the U.S.
Jason holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of South Carolina and he’s earned a Master of Arts in Religion and a Master of Divinity from Liberty Theological Seminary and Graduate School. He is married to an amazing woman named Bonnie and they have one beautiful daughter, Alivia.
